Remember the fruit-slashing phenomenon of the 2000s that was Fruit Ninja? Well, it’s making a comeback—a 3D comeback. High Fructose by Chazak Games is a FPS arena roguelite where you slay hostile fruit—yes, fruit—in rapid succession. As a ninja animal, you can wield up to six different weapons, from the trusty old sword to magic staffs and cannons that shoot out entire bears, to slay and chop fruit into fruit salad. Earn seeds from your hack-and-slash adventures to create builds and upgrade your character to the max to endure the next wave. Will you live long enough to take the Dragon Fruit down?
The game is heavily inspired by Fruit Ninja, Brotato, Ghost Runner, and Overcooked, along with a dash of Doom. It’s planned to first release on Steam, with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch releases following later on. High Fructose is still in development, and the team can’t wait to show everyone what they have in store.

As of writing, the Kickstarter has just reached its $10,000 USD goal! Cantero posted on his personal X (Twitter) account, thanking the game’s backers and supporters. But a new goal is now on sight—the $20,000 USD stretch goal. If you’re interested in supporting Chazak Games, check out their Kickstarter!
Kickstarter backers will also receive a number of exclusive rewards depending on their tier, such as the Gold and Sapphire Kickstarter-only skins, appearances in game, and even direct involvement in the game’s development like designing a weapon, playable character, or fruit monster!
Fueled By A Dream
Chazak Games is a whole new indie development game studio headed by industry veteran Chris Cantero along with his team who hail from different parts of the world. A relatively new studio formed earlier this 2024, Chazak Games was founded by its head after being laid off from Unity Technologies’ decision to undergo a massive restructuring. Cantero then went on the path to fulfill his own dreams, and that is what spurred the creation of High Fructose.
