Altered Alma Ends Successful Kickstarter Campaign

2Awesome Studio’s Cyberpunk Metroidvania Surpasses Funding Goal

Altered Alma Successfully Concludes Kickstarter with Free Blasphemous Crossover DLC

Cyberpunk Metroidvania Secures Funding for Launch

The Kickstarter campaign for Altered Alma, a cyberpunk Metroidvania by developers 2Awesome Studio, has officially concluded and raised an impressive amount of €257,673 EU (approx. $283,000 USD) surpassing its original funding goal of just €40,000 EU (approx. $44,000 USD). The campaign not only achieved its target but also unlocked several stretch goals. These additional milestones allow the developers to bring more content, from voice acting, alternate endings and different game modes.

Altered Alma’s Neo Barcelona Awaits You in the Underhive

Set against the backdrop of the futuristic city of Neo Barcelona, Altered Alma takes players through a cyberpunk world where they will explore both above and below the city streets. You play as Jackelyne, a mercenary with a mysterious past who’s currently on the run from a group called the Crusaders. In order to do that, you will need to find a spaceship and crew that will help you leave the planet but not after facing the most dangerous gangs and individuals Neo-Barcelona has to offer.

Crossover with Blasphemous Announced

As part of the announcements on Kickstarter, Altered Alma will include a crossover DLC titled “Neon and Miracle”, which brings together two Metroidvania games: Altered Alma and Blasphemous by The Game Kitchen. The DLC sees Jackelyne, the protagonist from Altered Alma, coming into possession of a mysterious device known as the Crucible. Because of this, things go south and a portal opens, transporting the Penitent One, the protagonist of Blasphemous, into the cyberpunk world of Neo-Barcelona.

Altered Alma Demo Available on Steam

For players eager to dive into the world of Neo-Barcelona, a demo is currently available on PC via Steam. While a release date is not yet announced, Altered Alma will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
