Arisen Force: HeroTest Coming To Steam On October 23!
Console versions launches on 2025
Another Fantastic 2D-HD Game!
Gather Legendary Heroes From Different Eras
Scratch that classic action RPG itch as Arisen Force: HeroTest launches on Steam on October 23. The game features a 2D-HD art style, similar to games like Octopath Traveler and the upcoming Dragon Quest remakes, where nostalgia and modern aesthetics blend beautifully, creating a stunning visual experience. You are mysteriously summoned by a goddess and tasked with gathering heroes from different eras. Journey through time, rescue these heroes, and bring them back to the Temple of Time. Embark on a thrilling adventure with a diverse cast of colorful characters as you work to resolve the “mysterious void invasion.”
Arisen Force: HeroTest’s combat is reminiscent of classic ARPGs, with you and your enemies moving and attacking in real time. The game features a charge attack and the JUST system. The former is simple; just hold the attack button for higher damage. The JUST system enhances evasion and skill casting by executing maneuvers at the right time, allowing you to deal more damage or perform a counterattack. As you rescue more heroes, expect more chaotic battles as you utilize different combat mechanics to defeat enemies.
The Temple of Time serves as your hub and the last bastion against the corruption brought by the Demon Tower. As instructed by the goddess, you must gather legendary heroes via a “time teleportation roulette.” Here, you will randomly choose which era to visit, each containing unique heroes for you to master. In this game, you can collect six heroes with different weapon expertise:
⚫︎ King Arthur (greatsword)
⚫︎ Catherine (firearm)
⚫︎ Jeanne (lance)
⚫︎ Guan Yu (polearm)
⚫︎ Hippolyta (bow)
⚫︎ Oda Nobunaga (katana)
Experience diverse environments through the game’s dynamic time pass system. There are four time periods: dawn, day, dusk, and night. Each period features different lighting mechanics, enhanced by the 2D-HD graphics. Enjoy watching the scenery evolve as you vanquish enemies.
The game’s price is not yet available on Steam, but you can follow its page or Twitter account @Contrariagame for more information. The console version is estimated to release in 2025
Refining The Game Through Community Feedback
Lemport, the game’s developers, aim to release Arisen Force: HeroTest with the community’s feedback in mind. In their Steam update announcement, the devs shared, “we are currently optimizing the full version with the experience and feedback we’ve gathered.” They released two demo versions of the game, with the second demo being an iteration based on player feedback from the first, unveiled during Steam’s Next Fest this month. The event showcased new features and additional characters to collect in the game:
⚫︎ Steam Deck compatibility
⚫︎ Optimized performance
⚫︎ First and second tower levels unlocked
⚫︎ New enemies and bosses
⚫︎ New characters: Cleopatra and Wukong
As the game’s release date approaches, the devs also provided information about features you might have missed in the demo. According to them, characters with shields can block and dodge simultaneously, allowing for a shift from defensive to evasive actions. Additionally, you must enter the Magic Tower and obtain a key item to recall rescued heroes and assist you in battle. There are also hidden areas in the Magic Tower that you can explore to unlock the newest character, Cleopatra.
The devs continually offer updates and tips to enhance the gaming experience. Although they haven’t mentioned any future updates yet, their responsiveness to community feedback may suggest post-launch refinements. You can still download the demo on Steam to try the game. Travel through time and stop the corruption in Arisen Force: HeroTest!
