Ash of Gods: Redemption Major Balance Update Released

Character Abilities Balanced, Items Reworked, and Kamikaze Tactic Now Removed

Ash of Gods: Redemption Enhances Game with Update

Game Changing Adjustments to Combat and Gameplay

Ash of Gods: Redemption, the tactical RPG developed by AurumDust, has released a major balance update that aims to improve the game’s mechanics, item reworks, balancing to characters and some changes to the overall combat system. One particular change in this major update is the removal of the “Kamikaze Tactic”, used by the enemy AI, where basic characters like crossbowmen or spearmen can deal damage or kill your characters using negative health points.

What’s Included in the Update?

Major Combat Improvements and Rebalanced Abilities for Heroes

In the Ash of Gods: Redemption major balance update, several characters received significant reworks to enhance the tactical nature of the game. Key changes include adjustments to their abilities to create better synergy within party compositions.

Heroes like Thorn Brenin, Lo Pheng, and Gleda saw major changes. For example, Thorn, who’s known as a purely offensive character, now provides more defensive value by adjusting his damage output and enhancing his defensive capabilities. Lo Pheng now benefits from improved cooldowns on his free skills, while Gleda’s rework enhances her support role, focusing on improving her healing abilities.

Faction and Item Reworks

Faction adjustments are another major aspect of this update. The game’s various factions have been improved, with certain hero classes receiving notable changes. For example, the Claw units now have increased survivability, making them a more valued part of offensive and defensive strategies. Meanwhile, ranged heroes have been toned down slightly, to avoid over reliance on long distance attacks. Items have also been reworked to make them more useful while retaining the base cost.

You can view the entire update on Ash of God: Redemption’s Steam page. As of writing, the game is also part of Steam's Turn-Based RPG Fest and is currently on sale for 70% off and priced at $7.49 USD. You can also view our article for the Best Indie Games From Steam's Turn-Based RPG Fest!
