Beasts of Bermuda Launches Huge Fall Event With New Specialization And Skins
Say Hello to the Carcharodontosaurus
Jam-Packed Fall Event
New Dinosaur, New Skins, Better Game
Beasts of Bermuda just released one huge content update in time for fall! Firstly, players can now take on the Carcharodontosaurus Specialization from the Acrocanthosaurus class (shortened to Acro), whose talent tree is identical to that of its base class, but with unique abilities and perks such as the combo of the Voracious Roar and the Voracious Bite. The Voracious Roar buffs yourself and nearby group members of the same class, giving you and your dino buddies the heal-over-time skill Voracious Bite when attacking. Each successful offensive attack will add to its stacks and increase its potency.
Fall Event Exclusive Skins
Then, you can spice up your dinosaur self with the limited-edition Megaraptor Servant of Charon, as well as the return of last year’s Tyrannosaurus Fall Decay Skin. These cool-looking cosmetics have a glowing, bioluminescent layer, making sure that your dino shines bright even in the darkness of the night. Acquiring these skins also unlock separate equipable cosmetic overlays that can go on any skin of their corresponding species, namely Charon’s Splendor (Megaraptor) and Leafy Refuge (Tyrannosaurus).
To unlock these skins, players must find and collect the skin’s respective idols scattered around the map—Megaraptor-themed idols for the Servant of Charon skin and Tyrannosaurus rex-themed idols for the Fall Decay skin, then returning them to the matching deity shrine. These idols will always be found on land in any game mode, and can randomly spawn anywhere near carcasses. Each skin requires gathering 50 idols, for a total of 100 idols to acquire both. However, all idols must be gathered on the same server to count for the skin and its corresponding achievements. Progress and achievements can be viewed in the Limited Time Events page.
Additionally, non-limited skins for the Lurdu, Acro, and Apato classes have been added into the game—Siliquosa, Rogue, and Genetic Stripe Skins, respectively.
Optimized Gameplay Experience
This update is also full of QoL changes, optimizations, and bug fixes made to improve the overall gameplay experience. Highlights include the addition of an Unstuck button for those pesky times you’ve fallen under the map, several background tracks now available on all maps instead of just Isla Titania, improved assets for better performance. Then, balance changes have been implemented for various dinosaur classes, such as the Acrocanthosaurus, Auroraceratops, Beelzebufo, and more. The Great Nesting Site world event has also been tweaked to result in better passing of inherits between generations. And lastly, various bug fixes have been made, including issues with GPU crashes and Volcano Bay.
For more detailed changes, you can head on over to Beasts of Bermuda’s Steam community log to check out the details!
