Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise DLC Coming Soon

Let your creativity unleash as you make your own knight

New Official Character, Paint Junior

Castle Crashers Steam Workshop Open!

Hack-and-slash 2D arcade adventure game Castle Crashers just announced that they will be releasing a new paid DLC coming real soon, after 12 long years. The DLC is called the Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise, and sticking true to the painting theme, will have a new visual overhaul in the form of new player and weapon artwork (which can be toggled in the settings, should players want to stick to the OG graphics), as well as a whole new character to play as.

Say hello to Paint Junior! This unique suitcase-headed, smock-wearing painter will let you use your imagination to create powerful art in order to vanquish your foes. But if you’re not too keen on using Paint Junior and perhaps would want a little more, why not explore the new Steam Workshop capabilities? Get those creative juices flowing as you create your own character, complete with personal knight skins, choice of magic, then share your works to the world so that other players can have your knight in their games too. Play as absolutely anything you want in Castle Crashers with the improved Steam Workshop, but keep in mind Steam guidelines as well, the developers remind.

There are no details yet as to when this DLC will be released, so stay tuned for more information coming soon!

The Behemoth And Castle Crashers, Twelve Years And Strong

Despite being released over a decade and two ago in 2012, Castle Crashers is still holding an Overwhelmingly Positive review rating on their Steam page, and has at least 4,000 concurrent players every day. Originally released on Xbox and PlayStation consoles in 2008 and 2010 respectively, it still continues to catch the hearts of many players, old and new alike.

However, it is not only Castle Crashers that gets these updates—developer The Behemoth also has much in store for their other titles as well, such as Battleblock Theater receiving a Quality of Life Update “looking more gorgeous than ever before,” Alien Hominid 3D coming to PlayStation consoles, and a mysterious teaser for a whole new Behemoth game.

“Sending a big BAAAAAAWK (translation: thank you very much) to all the little chickens around the world who have supported us for the past 21 years. These updates are for YOU, and we can't wait to share this new content with you as we begin development on our next title. G'BAAWK! 🐔❤️” they said in the YouTube description of the teaser.

The Behemoth sure has a lot to show this year, so stay tuned for more!
