Cap Off A Perfect Halloween With Crow Country

A Haunting Game For A Haunting Season

Highly rated PS1-esque indie horror title Crow Country is coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 this October 16th, the perfect timing for the month of Halloween. This survival horror game evokes an air of nostalgia especially for the PS1 crowd, especially for fans of the classic horror hits such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill, to which it takes inspiration from. Called as a “love letter to ‘90s horror games,” Crow Country is sure to delight any horror enthusiast, whether old or new.

In Crow Country, you will play as protagonist Mara Forest, a young woman who arrived in the titular Crow Country, a theme park that abruptly closed following the sudden disappearance of its owner, Edward Crow. However, Mara is not here just for a simple sightseeing trip—she finds out she’s actually connected to the theme park, in one way or another. Follow Mara on her dark horror adventure to find the answers!

“We're really excited for Crow Country to release on Switch, I think it's an excellent fit for the console. After our very successful launch earlier this year, we really want the game to be available to everyone! And surely there's no better time to pick up Crow Country than Halloween...” SFB Games’ creative director Adam Vian shared in the press release.

Switch and PlayStation 4 users, mark your calendars for October 16th! The game can be purchased for $19.99 USD on these platforms on that date.

New Localizations…And More?

And simultaneously, on the same day, new localizations will also be available for PC (Steam) players to play on, as well as a performance optimization patch! On October 16th, players can then play the game in Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese. Performance-wise, there will be visible frame rate improvements for lower-end devices, and all computers will also see an improvement in loading times, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience.

Just a bunch of great news all around! And it doesn’t end there—they concluded their Steam announcement post with this cryptic statement: “We have a few more surprises in store this month too, so look forward to news coming soon…”

With that said, follow Crow Country on its social media platforms to be updated! Or if you’re itching to play it and have either a PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S, you can get the game right now for $19.99 USD!
