Cult Of The Lamb Brings Unholy Matrimony To Real Life At PAX Australia

The Lamb will give their blessings

Not One, But Two Weddings

At The Cult Of The Lamb Temple In PAX

You are all cordially invited to the Unholy Matrimony! Cult of the Lamb will be making an appearance in this year’s PAX Australia in Melbourne, and they’re hosting not one, but TWO Cult of the Lamb-themed weddings at the event for everyone and the Lamb to see. The devoted couples will be holding their ceremony in a faithful and life-size recreation of the Temple in the game, all decked out in Lamb cult goodness. Both weddings will be conducted on October 13th, one at 11AM AEST and the other at 3PM AEST. What’s more is that these weddings are not just for show—they are real and legally binding, recognized by the government like any other real wedding. And wholly Lamb-approved too! Any and all present at the event are welcome to attend and celebrate with the happy couples, as the Temple will be located in a non-ticketed area.

First teased by the game’s official X (Twitter) back in April, asking “Anyone wanting to get married this year in a Cult of Lamb married ritual? We. are. dead. serious.”, two lucky couples who sent in their details then received the opportunity to have a one-of-a-kind (well, two-of-a-kind) ceremony. Julian Wilton, developer Massive Monster’s creative director, said to Gamespress that “Last year, we threw an epic rave at Federation Square, and over 6,000 people showed up. So, we thought, how do we top that this year? Easy… wedding rituals! We’re definitely dialing up the crazy, but it’s all for you, our amazing fans. The love you’ve shown for our game has been incredible, and now it’s time to spread that love. And what better way to do that than by legally marrying two awesome couples?”

But even if you’re not attending the weddings, the extravagant Cult of the Lamb booth will still be present throughout all three days of the event. In addition to watching various panels and presentations, attendees can also play the game’s latest update, Unholy Alliance, for free! There will also be a whole new range of Cult of the Lamb merch up for purchase for those interested. Cultists are also free to just hang out and meet fellow Cultists and give praise to the almighty Lamb.

Cult Of The Lamb Cosplay Competition

That’s not all for this fantastic event! Massive Monster is also holding a simultaneous online and offline cosplay competition! Huge prizes await the winners who manage to rock the best Cult of the Lamb-themed cosplay. However, the developers would like to note that all cosplayers MUST be over 18, and no extreme nudity.

For the offline competition, interested applicants can sign up on Massive Monster’s official website. The competition proper will run on October 12th, Saturday, in PAX Australia. Exact details as to what the prizes for the offline competition are still yet to be announced, but they have shared that “prizes await the faithful, with over $1000 and merch to be won!”
On the other hand, the global online competition requires no prerequisite sign-up—just post your best Cult of the Lamb cosplay on either X (Twitter) with the hashtag #CultoftheLambCosComp, or on the game’s official Reddit using the Fashion flair, on the 11th and 12th of October AEST! The online competition will award 10 winners, who will be winning the following:

⚫︎ 1st Place: Full set of EVERYTHING from the upcoming merch drop! Lamb, Goat, and Ratau Plushies! Duality of Lamb Blanket, Purple Crown, Possessed Goat Pin, and Co-exist Longsleeve T-Shirt.

⚫︎ 2nd Place: Full set of Lamb, Goat, and Ratau Plushies! Plus Possessed Crown and Goat Pin

⚫︎ 3rd Place: Full set of Lamb, Goat, and Ratau Plushies

⚫︎ 4th-10th Place: Your choice of Lamb or Goat Plushie

What a set of exciting events for Cult of the Lamb! Make sure to follow Cult of the Lamb on their social media for updates.
