Cult of the Lamb Releases Awesome Music Video For Metal Album
Spice up your game with metal music!
The Metal Reimagining Of The Soundtrack
Featuring An All-Star Lineup
Cult of the Lamb takes a step into the world of metal with their new album, Hymns of the Unholy! This special collection of tracks features a “metal reimagining of Cult of the Lamb tracks,” all worked on by a star-studded ensemble. Well-known musicians such as River Boy, Howard Jones (Light The Torch, ex-Killswitch Engage), Scott LePage (Polyphia), Mike Malyan (ex-Monuments), Sam George (Pick Up Goliath), Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium) and more make their appearances across six different tracks.
Hymns of the Unholy is set for a full release on Steam and several music platforms this October 28th. However, the first song, CULT, performed by Pick Up Goliath, Howard Jones, Scott LePage, and Mike Malyan, is out now on music streaming sites. Its music video is also available to watch on YouTube, showcasing footage from previous Cult of the Lamb trailers as well as additional scenes showcasing the story of how the Lamb rose to Godhood.
This unholy collab is surely an unexpected treat, but it wasn’t just a random thought—developers Massive Monster confessed that they’re actually metalheads! “We’re huge fans of metal music, and we know there’s a lot of metalheads in the Cult of the Lamb community too. There’s a natural link between the game’s themes and heavy metal music and, given the recent release of our Unholy Alliance DLC and the Goat character, we thought - why not get some G.O.A.T.s from the world of metal, to transform River Boy’s iconic melodies into heavy metal slammers?”
Matthew K. Heafy, Trivium’s lead singer, was also thrilled to be part of this amazing team-up. “"Video games have always been an important part of my life, so it's been amazing to work with the Massive Monster team and turn Cult of the Lamb's iconic soundtrack into a metal album.” He shared. “There's such a natural link between video games, heavy metal and the game's themes that a collaboration like this just makes sense. I hope fans of the game have as much fun listening to this as I did writing and performing my parts, and I hope the metal community and anyone who might not have played Cult of the Lamb before embraces this as a standalone album and checks out the game!"
While waiting for the full album release, fans can pre-save it on all supported music platforms, and also pre-order the exclusive splatter vinyl and Hymns of the Unholy t-shirts on the official Devolver Digital storefront! The vinyl is priced at $32.00 USD, while both Unholy Lamb and Goat t-shirts can be purchased for $30.00 USD. Don’t miss out!
