KillHouse Games issued an important update about Door Kickers 2’s full game release. This is a top-down tactical RTS game where you “Command military Special Ops Teams in gripping tactical combat against a Middle East-based terrorist network.” Set in Nowheraki, Middle East, your team will venture into the heart of the terrorist territories to stop their nefarious operations. Participate in raids and neutralize the enemy in the best possible way in Door Kickers 2. This Early Access game's current features are:

They are adding two campaign types, Tour of Duty (ToDs) and Operations. ToDs will be a randomly generated campaign. There will be a list to choose from, where you can only pick one to play for that day. Meanwhile, Operations is “a set of custom handcrafted missions, forming a story.” The missions are interconnected, and troops can suffer from fatigue if used repeatedly. Both campaign types will also use an exclusive currency called Battle Honors. This is useful for upgrading troops or unlocking special equipment. Currently, they are planning to release 90 single missions.

The use of mods opens the game to endless possibilities. The devs will add an improved version of RMG or Random Map Generator, where you “can generate night maps, locked doors, and more layout and enemy variations.” Despite these changes, the devs assured players that they “won’t miss a thing” in this upcoming game reset. Devs Took A Year To Announce Full Release Info

Door Kickers 2 was released as an early-access game on November 9, 2020. Despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, KillHouse Games consistently updated the game with new weapons, maps, and improved map generators. However, they stopped updating the game after their “September Intermediary Update,” released on September 13, 2023. No more updates have been released until now.

“We reconned it would be more efficient to have one release instead of countless cycles of building, testing, announcements, bug fixing and so on,” the devs shared. Despite the long wait, the fans are provided with a more concrete plan for the game’s full release, including a wide variety of new features and improvements.
