Farming and life simulator Fields of Mistria just released their newest update today! The game’s streak of constant updates continues with Version 0.11.6, featuring several QOL (quality of life) updates as requested by the community, and several bug fixes.

Some of the highlights include customization options to make your character even more you! Five new pronouns (he/she, she/he, they/he, they/she, it/its) are now added into the game, as well as a new selection of hair colors and eye colors. Your hair can now be fully white or pastel colored! Additionally, players are treated to QOL improvements in controls—hold-clicking is now implemented in shopping and crafting menus. No more mass clicking just to get a massive amount of seeds into your cart! These additions to the game are based on community feedback, showing just how hands on both the developers and the player base are.

New recipes are also added into the game, such as Quiche and its Vegetable variant, Pan-Fried Bream, Rosemary Garlic Noodles, and Chocolate Cake, to name a few. And for the overall gameplay experience, several crash-inducing glitches and bugs have been fixed. A Gem In The Cozy Farming Sim Scene

Fields of Mistria has taken the world by storm, hailed as a worthy successor to the 2016 critically-acclaimed hit that set the stage for cozy farm simulators, Stardew Valley. While the inspiration from Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon is apparent, it’s not simply just a wannabe or a blatant copy. Players have shared that it has its own charm, from its cute visuals and color palette, wide variety of romance options, and interesting characters with their own rich personalities carried by their dialogue. Despite it still being in constant development, it’s been surpassing the standard for Early Access games in more ways than one. The game has little to no game-breaking bugs and a responsive and efficient development team that listens to what the people want. Its milestone of 100,000 copies downloaded last August 13th, as well as the Overwhelmingly Positive review score (98% of 7.5k reviews) on Steam is a testament to just how good the game is.

Fields of Mistria is available to play on PC via Steam for $13.99 USD! There is no concrete news as to whether or not the game will be released on console, as the team is “currently focused on bringing the game to its 1.0 release on PC” and will evaluate its console ports at a later time.
