An Incredible Milestone for a Debut Indie Title
Many Players Resonated with GRIS Heartfelt Experience
After GRIS’ release roughly six years ago, Nomada Studio announced that the game sold three million copies. Proud of their achievement for their debut title, the developers announced something that most players requested on Steam. Now, GRIS has Steam community items, where players can gather collectible items to decorate their profile or their Steam Chats. The community items consist of:
- ⚫︎ Six badges
- ⚫︎ Six trading cards
- ⚫︎ Three profile backgrounds
- ⚫︎ Five emoticons
- ⚫︎ One booster pack
- ⚫︎ Four chat stickers
You can unlock these items by launching and playing the game for a brief period of time. Nomada Studio mentioned that players do not have to replay the entire game to earn these items.
A Young Girl Experiencing Grief and Loss
Platformer puzzle game GRIS is the debut title of Nomada Studio. You play as Gris, a young girl who is currently experiencing pain in her life. Gris’ experience shapes the world of this game. Despite its beautiful and artistic design, the world is unrealistic, mirroring Gris’ escape to reality. As you progress through the game, Gris will learn new abilities and find new ways to explore the world.

GRIS and Beyond
At the end of Nomada Studio’s update, they introduce their upcoming game, Neva. It is set to release on October 15, so you can save some money before its release. In this game, you will play as Neva, who must navigate the world alongside a white wolf cub. Neva includes combat mechanics, steering slightly away from GRIS’ formula. However, Neva still takes heavy inspiration from GRIS, such as its platforming, puzzle, exploration mechanics, and art style.
