Hades II Released Patch 4 For Early Access

Devs release mini update for now as the Major Update comes real soon

Several Improvements To Different Aspects

Nocturnal Arms, Boons & Blessings, Daedalus Hammer Upgrades

Hades II put out Early Access Patch 4 today to “address various issues we’ve observed since our previous patches,” which the developers have shared that they wanted to get out of the way before the first Major Update rolls around later on this year. Most of the patch content catered to enhancements of the combat mechanisms in game, such as improved targeting, greater damage output, and reworks for certain skills. Daedalus Hammer upgrades had some skills cut out and fully replaced with better versions, such as Crushing Comet becoming Triple Comet, and Escalating Ambush to Wicked Onslaught.

Besides the combat reworks, several bugs relating to the narrative and visuals were also addressed in this patch, like text and voiceover errors, cutscenes not playing despite supposedly being triggered, and crash reports.

Hades II Follows Its Predecessor

As a sequel to a popular roguelite indie game with a compelling story and gameplay, Hades II did have heavy expectations set upon it before its launch. And so far, it’s been delivering the same excitement and feel that the first Hades had. The game has amassed over 42,000 reviews as of writing, garnering a Very Positive review score on its Steam page with most of the reviews praising it as a “worthy sequel” and that it is “Hades, but better.”

In Hades II, you will play as the immortal Princess of the Underworld and traverse beyond it using dark magic and sorcery with a goal to vanquish the Titan of Time. The sequel will feature a much bigger world than it was in Hades, and much more content to play around with.
