After being featured in several game showcases such as the Women-Led Games Showcase, INDIE Live Expo, and the MIX Next Fest, quirky level-based sandbox game Just Crow Things finally gets a release date! Mark your calendars for August 15th, where players will be able to step into the boots (er, talons?) of a little crow whose mission is to prove herself to the cruel, cruel world. Become the coolest bird in town by making tons of new animal friends and doing tasks for them to build up your Crowputation. A range of tasks can be done, from mind-boggling logic puzzles to dumb but extraordinarily fun tasks. Create your own blend of adorable crow chaos, just the way you like it!

Live out your best crow life here in Just Crow Things! Pick up tools and objects of different shapes and sizes, and figure out how to use them—a leaf blower to blow unsuspecting hoomans away, mark your territory with graffiti drawn with paint, a blow torch…we’ll leave it up to you to do what you will with the blow torch. If the pesky humans are in your way, you’ve got an easy solution for that—poop on them! Why? Just caws (heh) you can, as a crow. You can also be one fashionable crow with dozens of hats, scarves, and sunglasses to wear on your bird-self! Time to cause mayhem in town, all stylishly decked out.

Just Crow Things will be coming out on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox on August 15th, with a PlayStation release to follow. It can be currently wishlisted on Steam, and a demo is available should you want to try it out for yourself!

Silly But Also Serious

Unbound Creations is an indie game studio that focuses on two types of games, namely “silly comedy games and serious political commentary.” Besides Just Crow Things, the studio is also known for another mischief making game called Rain on Your Parade where you play as a cute cardboard cloud out to make everyone miserable, and thought-provoking Headliner: NoviNews where you play as a news editor in charge of the city’s newspaper and thus letting you shape the narrative of the media as you see fit.

Having two games of different genres in your repertoire is interesting, making sure there is a little something for everyone. Unbound Creations’ founder and head, Jakub “Koobazaur” Kasztalski, is knowledgeable in storytelling, cinematography, and the ins and outs of society, as he studied humanities and ethnic conflict which he said “inspire my creative works.”
