Keep Driving Releases First Demo

It’s time to hit the road!

Explore A Vast Open World In Your Shiny New Car

A Summer To Remember

Atmospheric management RPG Keep Driving just released the public demo, inviting players to sit back and relax as they go on an exciting roadtrip to get to a festival on the opposite side of the country. Set in the early 2000s, you’ve just gotten your first car and you’re dying to take it for a spin. It’s a long and slow summer, so what better thing to do than to go on a road trip?

Players embark on a journey through a procedurally generated pixel art open world in their trusty car, picking up hitchhikers and working odd jobs along the way while also making sure your vehicle’s in tip top shape. Certain challenges also pose an obstacle to your goal, and you can solve these through a unique turn-based “combat” system. With so many routes to choose from and plenty of choices to get through, the game features multiple endings as well, depending on what you did. There’s a lot to do in this nostalgia-driven road trip simulator—but don’t forget to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds, and enjoy the ride.

Journeying Like The Oregon Trail

Just from the premise itself, one can see its strong inspiration from hit 90s game Oregon Trail II, as well as 2012 spaceship simulator FTL: Faster Than Light and vehicle simulator Jalopy. It also takes inspiration from road films such as Two Lane Blacktop and Paris, Texas. If you’re a fan of any of these games or films, Keep Driving might just be right up your alley!

Keep Driving does not have a release date as of writing, but it is available to wishlist on Steam right now! Stay tuned for more updates.
