Calling all survivors…and traitors! Multiplayer survival and social deduction game MISTERY is opening its second playtest phase this September 13th until the 16th! Three regional servers will open for the playtest, specifically in Europe (based in Germany), North America (Los Angeles), and Asia (Shanghai). The game servers will be live from 18:00 to 24:00 each day based on the timezone of the server’s home city.

As early as now, interested players are able to hop on over to the game’s Steam page and request access to the playtest. Once September 13 rolls around, an email will be sent to notify players that the game is ready to play. Developer Game Frontier estimates that a game will run for 20 to 30 minutes per run and recommends a group session of nine people to fully experience the game. Additionally, as the game is in closed beta, records or live-streams are prohibited.

MISTERY Tests Cooperation In The Face Of Peril

You are one of the unlucky humans stranded in Site-14, where a terrible Containment Breach has occurred, enveloping the surrounding area with a heavy Mist. The Mist is no ordinary mist, as it contaminates every living creature in its vicinity. In an attempt to survive and eventually escape, survivors would need to band together and cooperate. However, strange anomalies and entities lurk behind the fog…and some of them are even masquerading among you.

MISTERY is a multiplayer game that tests its players survival and social deduction skills. In groups of six to nine, players will work together and cooperate to survive the slowly decaying Site-14. Scavenge resources, craft weapons to keep monsters at bay, and retrieve batteries to keep lights on for those long nights. Waves of monsters are out to get you and your team when the moon is out—use teamwork and your arsenal of weapons to stay alive.

But…there are impostors among you. Some of you might look human, but are actually contaminated beasts with the power of shapeshifting, and have adopted a human-like appearance. Or worse, they’re one of the escaped anomalies, whose goal is to rip reality apart. Will you be able to spot these betrayers among you before they stab you right in the back?

Besides survival, combat, and being careful of the fake humans in your midst, players can also encounter random events and items that will give more context as to why Site-14 was plunged into the Mist, and what secrets the area has to hide.
