Monarchy Announced: A Political Strategy Sim Set in the Medieval Era

Monarchy is an upcoming political strategy game that has been announced by developer Brain Seal Ltd. and will soon be arriving on PC on November 6, 2024. In this game, players take control of the King or Queen of a kingdom and are tasked with building an army, a base while also managing resources, and conquering enemies similar to an RTS game but in a 2D setting.

What’s New in Monarchy?

Realm Management from Horseback

Monarchy introduces a very unique approach to kingdom management by focusing on the monarch’s role in directing your forces from horseback. As the King or Queen, players ride across the lands, issuing commands to followers while managing resources, building bases, and raising armies. Once your forces encounter enemies, they will automatically engage in an auto battler mechanic.

Resource Management, Seasons and Co-Op Adventures

Resource collection plays a significant role in the game, as players explore caves, hunt wild game with archers, and fend off bandits to gather materials for expanding their kingdom. The game also introduces seasonal activities, with winter bringing nightly enemy attacks, autumn filled sieges, and summer focused with bandit conflicts. All of these experiences can be shared in co-op mode and allows players to team up and conquer the world.

Monarchy will launch on November 6, 2024 and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
