Devs Thanked Over The Moon Fans

Wrong Organ released the psychological horror game Mouthwashing last Sept 27. Since then, the game received 2,094 overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. They thanked their fans for supporting this newly released game and those who shared their playthroughs with their community.

“It’s incredibly hard to express how grateful we are to all of you who played Mouthwashing. Seeing your fan arts, playthroughs and discussions of our game feels even better than expected once we crossed the finish line.”

The game was covered by popular YouTubers like jacksepticeye, ManlyBadassHero, and 8-BitRyan. On Twitch, the game received attention from channels like WELOVEGAMES and alexelcapo. Mouthwashing might gain wider recognition as more channels post their playthrough or lore videos.

Repairing The Experience Aboard The Tulpar

Though the game gained positive reviews from players and critics, the devs released an update to sweeten the deal. They added features and fixes to balance the game and make it more accessible to players. Here is a spoiler-free list of these improvements:

⚫︎ Added Field Of View (FOV) setting
⚫︎ Added dithering setting
⚫︎ Open the Developer Menu by simultaneously pressing the L3 and R3 buttons
⚫︎ Fixed achievement unlocking
⚫︎ Reworked enemies
⚫︎ Fixed timeline inconsistencies
⚫︎ Update the game’s language localizations
⚫︎ Fixed environmental interactions and dialogues

Though this is not a major update, this will certainly improve your gaming experience throughout the game. “As Mouthwashing devs, we bear the responsibility of making our game as best as we possibly can, so we’ve just launched a patch based on the feedback we received from you all throughout the week,” they shared. If you want a short but powerful dose of psychological horror, you might want to try Mouthwashing!

Fan Art Spotlight

Some fans also showed their appreciation to the devs by creating humorous, cute, and sometimes visceral fan art of Mouthwashing on Twitter. The fan art above is titled “Just two besties hanging out under eternal sunset” by Twitter user 6K016. Nothing will go horribly wrong between these two, right?

If you want to share your art with the devs, tag their Twitter account “@Wrong_Organ or use the #Mouthwashing.” They are planning to make this a regular event for the game, so watch out for more creative fan art along the way. You can also visit their latest update on Steam to see the devs favorite fan art, but beware of spoilers!

Fan Request Confirmation

Before the devs ended their long devlog, they confirmed the most requested features for the game. Wrong Organ made the right decision by announcing the upcoming release of Moutwashing OST and Trading Cards. Follow their Steam page for future information about its release date. Why not take a remembrance before succumbing to your fate?

Star-crossed Individuals Lost In Space

Mouthwashing is a PSX-style psychological horror game where you follow a shipwrecked crew's gradual descent to madness after being stranded aboard the space freighter Tulpar. Your original mission: to deliver mouthwash across the stars. However, Tulpar’s crashing made your mundane delivery trip a hellish nightmare. Here, you will try to survive and look for ways to save yourself while food and power supplies dwindle at the minute. Interact with a diverse cast of characters with different motivations and solutions to this predicament.

The game is not for the faint-hearted players because it features gore and extreme violence. Pay attention to your surroundings, and do not let your eyes deceive you. Interact carefully with your fellow space couriers and maybe change the fate of the entire crew. However, the extreme isolation and paranoia while watching an eternal sunset can surely get into you and your companions.

The game can be purchased on Steam for $12.99 USD. Will you fade into the sunset or sail into it? Fight off your inevitable demise in Mouthwashing!
