OPUS: Prism Peak will be making an appearance in this year’s BitSummit Drift in Kyoto, Japan, from July 19th to July 21st as confirmed by the developers themselves on the OPUS: Prism Peak Steam page as a developer blog update. BitSummit Drift is one of Japan’s industry-leading independent game development festivals in Kyoto and one of the longest running conventions for indie games in the country, thus being part of the exhibitors is truly an exciting thing.
At the Shueisha Games’ booth, developer SIGONO will be showing the new gameplay trailer along with new Key art to all attendees who come by. “We've been hard at work on OPUS: Prism Peak and excited to share these new tidbits created by SIGONO and SHUEISHA GAMES with our fans!” they exclaimed in the post.
And that’s not all—all participants of the BitSummit Drift who come visit the Shueisha Games booth and show proof of having wishlisted OPUS: Prism Peak will receive an exclusive clear photocard freebie featuring new key visual art! So if you’re one of the lucky attendees, don’t forget to check them out over at Exhibition Hall 3 GD-02.
A Narrative Photography Adventure
OPUS: Prism Peak takes you through a gorgeous narrative adventure where your choices will matter, leading to multiple endings. Players will take on the helm of the weary photographer protagonist who is on a quest to look for himself. Beaten up by the heavy downs of life, he decides to return to his hometown to calm down…but on the way there, he stumbles upon a mysterious and ethereal realm full of spirits, including one peculiar girl who guides him back to where he truly belongs.
Gameplay-wise, there is a lot of exploration, where players would need to use the main character’s photography skills to take the best shots with his trusty camera, giving a glimpse of how he perceives the world. Other wandering spirits may be the subject of your photo—players must get closer to the spirit and understand them in order to take the best shots.
The game has no set release date as of writing, but the game is now available to be wishlisted on Steam as previously mentioned!
