Calling all Potion Sellers out there! Potionomics just released a major update, coming in hot with expanded gameplay options and additional features, overall enhancing the gameplay experience.
First and foremost, your favorite characters are now voiced in story scenes! This addition of character voices will surely add more to the immersive experience, featuring several incredible voice talents such as Alejandro Saab (Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail), Colleen Clinkenbeard (One Piece, My Hero Academia), Yong Yea (Like a Dragon series), and more.
Next comes one of the most requested features—Endless Mode! Now you can continue your potion-making deckbuilding wonder even after the main story has long been finished, as well as see new relationship scenes only available in this mode. Not only that, but the original difficulty was tweaked to be more balanced (easier early game but harder late game), and there are now two additional difficulty modes, namely Cozy and Capitalism, with the following changes:
⚫︎ Cozy - Removes the time restriction on travel; No time consumption when you rank up relationships; Easier bosses in the potion competition; It only takes one ingredient to brew a potion.
⚫︎ Capitalism - Increased difficulty for customers (Average 20% increase in interest requirements for all levels); More difficult bosses in the potion competition
For romance seekers out there, there is also now an option to either have Free Love or One Love in your game. Free Love mode lets you explore all relationship paths if you wish, then One Love mode will lock you into one route once you’ve begun that character’s romance. Whether you’re a completionist or a one-love kind of person, there’s an option for everyone! However, this option is only available for new games made after the update.
Improvements such as controller support, new language options (German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese), and tweaks to the UI such as the appearance of the “Clear” button when brewing are now available as well. But that’s not all…
Small Beginnings, Big Dreams
Have you ever wanted to romance Rafta’s most handsome and “sexy, sophisticated shark man”, Boss Finn? Voracious Games aims to fulfill that dream with the all new Boss Finn Content Pack! Originally just restricted to being a rival in the original game, this paid DLC adds a new dedicated relationship path for Boss Finn, as well as new cards for protagonist Sylvia to use. DLC Boss Finn can also be approached to be a “life coach” vendor that offers buffs and debuffs to use in your playthrough—for a price, of course.

Second Playthroughs, Incoming!
Reception to the update has been glowing, with many players eager to play a second playthrough to fully experience the new character voices. Others thanked the developers for finally adding an Endless Mode, saying that “My one actual complaint about the game was a lack of endless mode. So glad that was added! Truly a great game!” Despite it being two years since its release and a whole year since its last patch, Voracious Games has delivered an update that was definitely worth waiting for.
Potionomics is available to purchase on Steam for $24.99 USD, and the Potionomics: Masterwork Edition just got released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S! The Masterwork Edition, priced at $29.99 on online storefronts, comes bundled with everything in the PC update plus Boss Finn’s content. Better get brewing in Potionomics!
