Sea Power: Naval Combat In The Missile Age Releasing On November 12!
Engage in a modern naval conflict
Advanced Naval Weaponries At Your Disposal
Take The Initiative And Hunt Down Your Enemies
Take the wind out of your enemy’s sails in Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age. Sink enemy ships on the front lines of the Cold War era as you engage in conflicts across Central Europe, the Persian Gulf, and the Norwegian Sea. Commanding a U.S. Navy escort carrier, you’ll wield a formidable arsenal with cutting-edge technology, and use your strategic skills to sink your enemies to the deep blue sea.
Every modern weapon and technology is at your disposal, from long-range missiles to submarine-sinking torpedoes, and aircraft ready to drop bombs on enemy carriers. Just like in real-world modern naval warfare, you’ll need to outmaneuver your opponents and anticipate their moves to catch them off guard. Keep your sensors up to monitor enemy movements. But beware—your enemies have similar weapons and technology to track your every move. You must also think twice before attacking as you must observe the rules of engagement. Attacking unnecessarily might cause you more problems in the long run, so choose your battles wisely. In this game of cat and mouse, will you be the hunter?
With over 150 naval units and 60 aircraft to command, you can unleash catastrophic damage on your enemies. Order units like missile cruisers and torpedo boats to defend your aircraft carrier and strengthen your forces. Make sure that your movement won’t be detected by enemies.
Since this is an early access game, there are currently 20 scenarios to play, with more planned for the future. For example, a dynamic campaign featuring “an evolving theater-scale campaign” is set for release in Q2 2025. Imagine engaging with enemies across the globe!
The price is not yet listed on its Steam page, but the developers mentioned that “the first two weeks after EA launch will have a 10% discount applied to the price.” For more information, you can wishlist and follow the game on Steam to stay updated!
Pre-Launch Changes And Roadmap
Before you set off to the ocean, the devs Triassic Games announced some changes to the game on Steam. They added tools for Mission Editor, improved Save/Load functionality, pushed through localisation projects, tweaked visual designs of some vehicles, and added new game assets. For instance, they added the ASW (anti-submarine warfare) Hunter warship in the game, increasing the threat Soviets can pose to their enemies.
The devs are also planning “to release a regular weekly or bi-weekly update to the stable branch that you will have access to.” However, if there are serious or game-breaking bugs, they assure players that the updates will be released faster to address these issues.
The devs also recently released a roadmap to keep you updated on what improvements or additions might come to this game. Aside from the upcoming update after EA release, there is an ongoing development for fixing bugs, improving QoL, improving AI, and implementing community feedback. If you want to suggest some changes or improvements to the game, you can head over its Steam page and Discord channel.
