Slay the Princess has had an amazing week with the launch of its latest update patch, the Pristine Cut. As developers Black Tabby Games noted in their Steam news post, “We've been floored by the audience reception, and are so, so happy you've all come back to celebrate Slay the Princess with us in its final iteration. We're extremely proud of the new and expanded routes — I think they're easily some of the best content in the game — and it means the world to us that you've gotten to experience them.”

With that said, they will be holding a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) on the subreddit /r/games at 1PM EDT, October 30th. Bring out all those pressing questions you’ve got about the princesses, the developers, and more during this special event. They will be sending an announcement through the official Discord server when they go live, so hop onto the server to be instantly notified!

Secondly, seeing the large number of people who have already played through Pristine Cut, they are also asking for your help—in the form of an informative survey! “Your answers will contribute to an eventual write-up/data dive I'm going to do on the many stages of Slay the Princess' narrative development. It also lets you pick your favorite Princess :)” Be warned, as much as they tried to keep it as spoiler-free as possible, it’s definitely much better that you’ve played through a good chunk of the game to fully understand and contribute to the survey. Additionally, there are polls for the Princess Ranking and the Voice Ranking as well, the data of which will also be added into the write-up. Give a shout out to your favorite Princess and Voice now! New Official Princess Stickers, Vinyls, And Upcoming Art Book

The goodies don’t stop there! Now that Pristine Cut is out, several new merchandise are now available for pre-order. Firstly, there’s the second wave of cute chibi Princess sticker sheets that features the Princesses from the new chapters, as well as new looks and variations for the Damsel, Prisoner, Spectre, and Nightmare Princesses. You can now buy them on the official Topatoco storefront for $10.00 USD for one sheet, or $18.00 USD for both. If you missed the first wave of stickers, you can also pre-order them there! First wave sheets are priced at $11.00 USD for one, or $26.00 USD for all three.

Next, a huge art book is on its way to completion. The Art of Slay the Princess - The Pristine Cut will feature thousands of unique, hand-drawn illustrations across over 250 pages of the book, alongside the artist’s highlights, commentary, and insights, all structured in a choose-your-own-path style. “Navigating the book's 250+ pages will be like playing the game all over again, but without that pesky Narrator chirping away in your ear and telling you what to do,” the description read. You can pre-order it now on Serenity Forge for $59.99 USD, and is slated for release and shipping in the first quarter of 2025.

And last but not the least, a Slay the Princess - The Pristine Cut official vinyls that feature wonderful orchestral renditions of the tracks, played by the esteemed Czech National Symphony Orchestra. The vinyl is available in two designs, each offered on a different storefront. The blood splatter design with a gorgeous shade of crimson is offered in the UK-based Lost in Cult, while the glow-in-the-dark teal version can be purchased from Serenity Forge, based in Florida. The storefronts will have cheaper shipping fees based on location, but of course if you’d like both designs, go for it!

A Horrifically Beautiful Visual Novel, Upgraded

If you haven’t picked up Slay the Princess yet, then now is the best time to do so! The Pristine Cut is the definitive final iteration of the game, showcasing all in its best form, expanding the original game by over 35% with new Princesses, a new ending, and improvements to some of the existing Princesses.

The premise of the game is simple—you’re tasked to…guess what, slay the princess. If you don’t, it will be the end of the world. However, the princess is said to be very cunning, and will do everything and anything in her power to stop you from committing such a heinous crime.
