No Slay the Spire 2 yet, but these are just as awesome!

Slay With These New Stickers And Shirt

Slay The Stickers!

Slay the Spire just released new merchandise on The Yetee! Get to decorating with fun stickers that feature every relic present in the game, or pay tribute to the elite enemies with some boss-themed stickers instead. Fans can also grab “an extremely metal” Neow x Corrupt Heart t-shirt, showcasing a cool design.

Pre-orders are now open on their storefront on The Yetee, with prices ranging from $20 USD for the Relic Stickers, $10 USD for the Spire Bosses, and $32 USD for the Heart of Metal Neow x Corrupt Heart t-shirt. Of course, if you’re also interested in other types of their merchandise such as a tote bag or art prints to hang on the wall, they are also available for purchase on the same storefront!

The Champ Plushie Coming Soon

The merchandise drop doesn’t stop there! The Champ Plushie pre-order will be going live on Makeship on October 21st. His adorable plushie’s design hasn’t gone public just yet, so check out Slay the Spire on their social media platforms to be notified when the sale is launched!

Slay the Spire 2 Well In The Works

Despite all these merch announcements, Mega Crit assured that Slay the Spire 2 development is ongoing. While COVID and moving office locations did pose slight drawbacks to the overall development process, the developers are set and focused on getting core content into the game. The nitty gritty details of what is added are kept under wraps for now, but they have revealed that there’s some “clean up happening for [their] core VFX.” Mega Crit has summarized them into bullet points—Slay the Spire 2 will be more:

⚫︎ Playful: While we still retain some dark themes, the tone is more playful through its visual language and world.
⚫︎ Crisp: Creatures, items, cards, backgrounds are all a bit more crisp, as the style is less painterly.
⚫︎ Liveliness: Considerably more animations and transitions make the game feel livelier.
⚫︎ Cinematic: More whole-screen art stuff. Compared to before, this makes the game feel more epic rather than intimate.
⚫︎ Colorful-er: Everything is more colorful! This improves the legibility of various screens as well.

This may come as a surprise to some, but they shared that “While we want to update the visuals and make it feel new and fresh, we also want to ride that line of it being recognizable as the Slay the Spire world. … In the end, our goal is to make it feel bigger than the first game with new sets, new characters and enemies, more full-screen-art, way more animation, and a LOT of VFX (insert sparkles and fire and sparks here.) Of course it’ll look different and new, but I think it’s going to be a place that old and new StS players will feel comfortable and familiar in!“

Slay the Spire 2 is slated for release sometime in 2025.
