Swedish Midsummer Sale Brings the Best of Sweden to your PC

No Midsommar here—just an enjoyable midsummer!

Over 80 Titles To Choose From

Ranging From Horror to Action to Casual

The Swedish Midsummer Sale is now underway on Steam, with the partnership of the Swedish Games Industry. This sale features dozens of amazing games that are proudly Swedish made, and are now available to purchase for discounted prices. It will be running from today until July 30th, so make sure to check it out right now, and get a feel of the best of Sweden-made games.

There are over 80 titles spanning different genres showcased in the sale, so if you’re having a hard time figuring out where to start, here is a list of indie games that could get you right on track!

Valheim, The Viking Survival Game

Critically-acclaimed Viking game Valheim for sure was a hit back in 2021, featuring immersive multiplayer survival gameplay with a procedurally-generated vibrant world inspired by Norse mythology. Build your Viking fort, battle enemies of all shapes and sizes, and prove that you have what it takes to be a full-fledged Viking lord! It enjoyed overwhelming success back in its launch, and still has at least ten thousand concurrent players at present.

Valheim is half off, now available at the price of $9.99 USD.

Soma Takes You Through Underwater For A Sci-Fi Horror Adventure

Frictional Games surely knows how to make their horror games. The creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent came out with SOMA back in 2015, an unsettling horror story-driven game that not only spooks you with its dangers lurking in the shadows and the fact that you’re stuck underwater in the deep, deep ocean…but also engrosses you with an interesting narrative that makes you question one’s identity, consciousness, and what exactly it means to be a human.

SOMA is available for $7.49 USD, 75% off its usual price. If you’d like to experience more Frictional Games-type horror, Amnesia: The Bunker and Amnesia: Rebirth are also discounted for $12.49 USD and $7.49 USD respectively.

Passpartout: The Starving Artist Manifests Your Inner Artist

Anyone can become a great artist in Passpartout! Play as a starving French artist trying to make his way up the ranks in the confusing art world. Paint and sell your creations to various townspeople who may not always be nice about it (but in the most lighthearted way they could muster). Hey, no one’s going to feed your expensive wine and baguette addiction but you, so get those paintbrushes! Who knows, you might find yourself in the Louvre one day.

Passpartout: The Starving Artist is at $3.99 USD, 60% off. If you find yourself enjoying the game, Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist is also on Steam, but has currently no discounts as of writing.

Or Become A Photographer Instead In TOEM: A Photo Adventure

If being a paintbrush-wielding artist isn’t your thing, then maybe being a photographer is! In TOEM: A Photo Adventure, you set off on a wonderful expedition in a beautiful hand-drawn world, meeting and helping lovable characters while snapping away at the gorgeous visuals with your trusty camera. Use the power of photography to solve puzzles and help people with their dilemmas. This relaxing and fun little game is perfect for kicking back for a chill afternoon.

TOEM: A Photo Adventure is available for $3.99 USD at 80% off.
