New Update Expands Sandbox Experience with Character Selection
Teardown is a voxel-based sandbox game where players are in charge of a company that’s pressured by increasing debt. To solve this, you accept work from some shady individuals and soon you’re knee-deep in destruction using sledgehammers, explosives and vehicles. With its highly destructible environment, players can break through walls, topple buildings, and trigger chain reactions to complete missions.
What’s Included in Version 1.6?
The most significant addition in Teardown's latest update is the new third-person perspective, which shifts the game from its traditional first-person view to an over-the-shoulder angle. This change lets players get a clearer view of the environment as they unleash destruction and for the first time, players can now see which character is carrying out the destructive missions all this time.
Modding Support Expanded
Teardown’s version 1.6 also improves the game’s modding system. With new animation support available through the Modding API, modders can create and share custom characters with their own animations. Additionally, the update introduces Merlin, a spawnable ragdoll character available in the game’s spawn menu.
