The Bathhouse Is Back To Haunt Players In Its Restored Edition

Chilla’s Art fans can explore The Bathhouse once again

The Bathhouse Re-Released With Major Updates

Original Game Was Bugged

Horror fans, rejoice! Japanese indie developer Chilla’s Art, known for their spine-chilling short horror games such as The Convenience Store, Parasocial, The Closing Shift, and most recently Shinkansen 0, just announced on their official X (Twitter) that The Bathhouse: Restored Edition is coming soon and is now available to wishlist on Steam!

This marks a new beginning for the title as the original The Bathhouse released in 2022 was delisted from the Steam storefront due to a bug that prevented players from progressing the story, thus rendering the game unplayable. While there were updates in an attempt to remedy the situation, players still encountered the bug. Chilla’s Art was ultimately unable to pinpoint the cause of the error, and eventually the game was pulled from Steam instead.

Now, the game will be hitting Steam store shelves once again with enhanced graphics and character models, a new storyline, new game mechanics, new characters, and even an auto-save function for each chapter, as well as multiple endings.

There is no release date for the game as of writing, so stay tuned for more information!

Japanese Horror Masters, Chilla’s Art

Chilla’s Art is a Japanese indie game studio headed by two brothers “just making Japanese horror games,” as said in their X (Twitter) bio. While they have been making games such as Evie back in 2018-2019, their big break is attributed to their short retro Japanese-style horror games such as The Convenience Store shot to popularity after being constantly played by streamers and VTubers. Now with 21 of these retro horror games under their belt, they have gained quite a following, eager to play their next games.
