Edmund McMillen made a surprise announcement about The Binding of Isaac franchise. First on the list is the announcement of Nendoroid figurines! The developer admitted in a Steam post, “im a huge action figurine fan and goodsmile has always been the pinnacle of articulated figurines (i have a full collection of overwatch figures by them!) so as you might assume, turning isaac into a Nendoroid was a HUGE bucket list item for me! [sic].”

Sculpted by Dogu, the Nendoroid of Isaac also includes a Special Round Base, two limited edition Four Souls cards, and a Good Smile US Exclusive (Basement Background Sheet). A New Game In The Works

The developer concluded the lengthy Steam announcement with news of an upcoming game! McMillen introduced Mewgenics, a roguelike game featuring turn-based combat mechanics and a strong emphasis on replayability. “In many ways it feels like an extension of what isaac is so i think there will be a good deal of overlap with fans [sic],” the developer shared.

In Mewgenics, you’ll “hoard, breed, train, and set cats out on epic adventures through a sprawling world of complete chaos.” Each cat has a unique class, encouraging different combat strategies. You can also expand your cat collection by upgrading your house and decorating it with enchanted furniture.
