Greetings to all Reagents! The Outlast Trials presents to you a new limited-time event called Countdown, where players will literally see the countdown…to their death. In Countdown, you and your team will wake up in the Trial area, with ticking time bombs strapped to your chests. To stop yourself from becoming a pile of human remains, you and your team must find a way to defuse the bomb in the wide area, picking up Time Extenders along the way to ensure your survival.

Players who complete the Trial are able to earn Event Tokens, which can be traded with several cosmetics in the Countdown Event Catalog. Choose your hard-earned prize from player outfits, player icons, cell props, or cell posters.

Countdown will be available to play from September 10th to October 8th, with the event being divided into two parts. Take note that once the event ends, both Countdown and its respective Event Catalog will be removed from the game, and all unspent tokens will disappear as well.

New MK-Challenges, Catalogs Update, And Bug Fixes

To spice up the gameplay even more, there are two new MK-Challenges to accomplish! Empty the Vault encourages players to empty the casino vault, taking back what was stolen from them. Poison the Cattle is also what it says on the tin—poison the cattle, spoiling their “milk of human kindness,” for they must be contaminated with “liberty and progress.” Playing these MK-Challenges during the duration of the event will also award players with Event Tokens to spend.

Outside of the event proper, the Standard and Deluxe Catalogs also have a new selection of cosmetics to choose from, however, they are quite costly and would require a hefty amount of game time completed. But if you’re one of those players who have put a significant portion of time into the game, you will be greatly rewarded with these brand-new cosmetics.

Additionally, as to further enhance the gameplay experience, several additions, and bug fixes have been implemented into the game, such as UI updates (better notification badges, buttons being clearer to see), upgraded Amps and Rigs, and numerous minor bugs.
