The Timeless Child Devs Confirm Ongoing Full Game Development

After three years since its release and two years since its last update, developers Timeless Tale have some wonderful news to share—the full The Timeless Child game is now being worked on! Announced on the Prologue’s Steam announcement logs, they also assured fans that more details will be revealed in time “so stay tuned.” They also took to the post to thank all of the support they have received for the game since its launch, and are thrilled to be able to take the game a step further now.

Addressing The Server Issues

On another note, the announcement may have been done in haste as to answer to the slew of Mostly Negative reviews that the game has received due to its pressing server issues. As the game was not able to receive any patch updates since January of 2022, recent players have reported that they are not able to play the game because of the server being full, some of which even tried logging in through a period of multiple days to no avail. Some lucky users did get to play, yet it took them an immense amount of time to even get in.

However, the developers have also addressed the server issues and the lag caused by said issues, and have thus increased server capacity to accommodate more players. Hopefully, more people are able to try out the game for themselves this time around!

A Puzzle-Adventure For Two

Free-to-play two-player co-op puzzle-adventure game The Timeless Child puts you in the shoes of either Chris Hunt, a skilled hunter from the present, or Emily Wells, a child trapped in the past, in an attempt to save Emily from her temporal jail. Each player will see the exact same manor in two different perspectives, depending on who they are controlling. Both exist in the same space, yet on different timelines—use this to your advantage and get to the bottom of the mysteries of Wells Manor!
