The Tower defense city builder game Thronefall was originally released as an early access game on August 2nd, 2023. Games of this genre have complicated game mechanics, but GrizzlyGames made Thronefall a more accessible game. With its cel shaded art style, the devs stripped down “unnecessary complexity” found in most strategy games while retaining a fun gameplay experience.

Here, you will manage and build a kingdom or a fort by day and fend off enemy waves by night. Build your economy by creating houses, mines, mills and fields, and harbors, which generate gold daily. Use your hard-earned gold to build defensive structures to keep enemies at bay. However, your income-generating structures need defenders and fortifications to provide gold. So invest wisely and defend those investments vehemently to earn money and expand your kingdom while defeating your enemies!
