Summer 2024 Anime Game Festival Is Here Until September 3

Anime-themed games for all!

This Summer’s Anime Game Festival Ongoing On Steam

Showcasing Great Anime-Themed Games

The Summer 2024 Anime Game Festival is now underway on Steam, from August 27th to September 3rd, as a grand celebration for anime-themed games and showcasing the vibrant culture that anime and gaming have together! Experience the magic of anime-themed games in this festival!

With tons of games to look through, here are five games that can help you get started!

Fruit Mountain

The fruit-stacking combination game Suika is back in 3D form! In the casual game Fruit Mountain, the premise is simple: connect the same types of fruit together to create even bigger fruit! Bigger fruit means higher points, and stack them up well without letting any piece roll out from the plate, and create one magnificent Fruit Mountain. Will you be able to get the prized watermelon? Compete with players around the world to see who can create the best Fruit Mountain!

Fruit Mountain is available to play on PC and macOS via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One for $8.99 USD. It’s on sale right now for 25% off on Steam at $6.74 USD, so be sure to grab a copy!

Eternal Return

2.5D perspective battle royale Eternal Return is definitely a must play if you’re a fan of MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena). Eternal Return is, however, an interesting blend that combines elements of MOBA, battle royale, and survival games. Explore the map, craft your weapons and armor to keep yourself safe, and fight other experimental humans with your teammates to come out on top as the last survivors standing!

Eternal Return is free-to-play on Steam as a live-service game, but players are free to purchase cosmetics such as skins and emotes to enhance their gameplay experience.

Rabbit and Steel

Ready for some action? Rabbit and Steel is a co-op action roguelike that focuses on fighting challenging bosses with your other rabbit-eared friends. The game strives to recreate the essence of raiding, an activity usually reserved for high-level players in MMOs. Rabbit and Steel instead give players that same experience in one simplified package for quick runs! Choose from five different classes (with more to come), gather your fellow raiders, and save the world by fighting your way up the Moonlight Pinnacle!

Rabbit and Steel is available on Steam for $14.99 USD, but while it’s featured in the Anime Games Festival, it can be yours for 10% off at $13.49 USD!

Volcano Princess

Step into the shoes…of a parent?! Parenting simulator and RPG adventure game in one, Volcano Princess tasks you with raising your daughter, the next monarch. Find her hobbies, train her for battle, and establish camaraderie with the townspeople. Watch her grow into a fine lady that you could be proud of…or not. Will she become an upstanding citizen and a fine member of society? An ordinary noble? Or worse…will she walk the path of darkness? Find out in Volcano Princess!

Volcano Princess is available to play on PC on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S for $10.99 USD.

OPUS: Echo of Starsong

Visual novel-style adventure game OPUS: Echo of Starsong follows Eda, a special girl who can hear the mysterious soundwaves, called Starsong, and Jun, a young man in search of the source of the said Starsong. Together, they traverse space to achieve their goals…and discover long-hidden secrets. The game is narrative-driven, and it provides an immersive experience and deep plot.

OPUS: Echo of Starsong – Full Bloom Edition is available to play on PC and macOS through Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S for $24.99 USD. The mobile edition on iOS is available for $8.99, however, it does not come with updated graphics and full voice-acting.
