The Tokyo Indie Games Summit 2025 has officially begun accepting applications for indie game developers worldwide to showcase their unique creations in Japan. The event will take place in Kichijoji, Tokyo from March 8 to March 9, 2025. The summit aims to provide a platform for creators to present their works, interact with the community, and network with industry experts. The entire event will be free for attendees of the event.

Founded in 2023, the Tokyo Indie Games Summit was established in Kichijoji, Musashino City, with the sole vision of creating a space where indie game developers can get attention, gather with fellow gamers and developers, exchange ideas and showcase their creations. The event is designed to foster collaboration and to potentially engage with interested companies or larger studios.
Event Details and Participation Requirements for Developers
The Tokyo Indie Games Summit 2025 will take place on March 8, 2025 to March 9, 2025 across multiple venues, with Musashino Public Hall serving as the main site. Additional venues include Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel, Kichijoji Marui, and Harmonica Yokocho. The 2025 summit will retain its two-day format with the first day reserved for an exclusive session between industry experts and indie developers to network and explore potential partnerships while the second day will be an Open House event where the general public can discover new indie games, meet developers, and enjoy their creations.

How to Apply for Indie Devs
Indie game developers interested in exhibiting at the summit must meet specific qualifications, as shown below:
⚫︎ Homebrew PC game software (VR is also acceptable)
⚫︎ Home-made applications for smartphones and tablet devices
⚫︎ Software for consumer games of your own creation (limited to software that can be activated by means approved by the manufacturer)
⚫︎ Games that run Homebrew devices
Applications are open from until November 17, 2024. Interested applicants can submit their applications through the official Tokyo Indie Games Summit page.
