Truckful, developed by MythicOwl, is an upcoming physics-based driving game with a dark twist. Players are tasked with driving a pickup truck as they attempt to transport cargo safely across a series of intricate levels. However, what initially appears to be a lighthearted delivery game slowly unravels into something far more serious when a tree is felled on a highway and players are forced to take a detour in an old forest.

Delivery Meets Physics and Puzzles

At the heart of Truckful is an emphasis on physics-based puzzle solving. Players will take control of a truck, navigating tricky terrain while attempting to transport cargo to its destination without losing items along the way. One of the standout features is the weight distribution mechanic, which challenges players to carefully stack and manage their cargo for successful deliveries. This mechanic goes beyond simply loading a truck with items as players must account for the weight, size, and shape of each object they’re transporting.

As the truck moves, the physics engine simulates the natural shifting of weight, meaning that poorly stacked cargo can slide, topple, or throw off balance. Players are encouraged to think strategically about how they organize their deliveries, stacking lighter items on top and securing heavier cargo at the bottom, while also taking into account the truck’s movement and road conditions. For example, rough or steep terrain will cause the cargo to shift more aggressively.

Right now, Truckful is still in development with constant updates from the developers. The recent developments include an update for car lights which can be upgraded to high lumen lights, the ability to make a U-turn and the introduction of ray tracing to reflect the world and lighting in puddles and other reflective surfaces.
