What Is Valheim: The Board Game?
Explore the mysterious, four-cornered world of Valheim in Valheim: The Board Game. Gamefound describes it as “a co-op survival tile exploration and resource gathering game with dice-based combat and a boss-battle endgame.” Much like its digital counterpart, players can gather resources, craft gear to enhance survival, and even challenge the Forsaken, the game’s most formidable boss.
What sets this board game apart from others is its focus on homestead creation and expansion. As you explore Valheim, you can gather resources not only for combat but also to improve your homestead and unlock valuable amenities to aid your journey. For those who prefer solo play, there’s a dedicated single-player mode that simplifies gameplay by removing extra cards, AI turns, and additional rules.
Following the Late Pledge & Pledge Manager event, manufacturing for Valheim: The Board Game will begin in January 2025, with a release planned for October of the same year. This timeline applies only to the English version; localized versions are set to release two months later.

Vikings, Heed Odin’s Call!
Explore The Mystical But Unforgiving Tenth World Of Valheim
Explore an unforgiving world infused with Norse mythology in Valheim, an early access game focused on survival and RPG elements, set in the Tenth World. As a Viking, your primary mission is to defeat The Forsaken and any other threats that stand in your way. In this procedurally generated world, you'll need to gather resources and craft powerful gear while constructing a base to support your exploration. The game features multiple biomes, each filled with valuable items and unique crafting materials.
The combat system draws inspiration from Soulslike games, where stamina plays a crucial role in shaping your playstyle. For example, blocking attacks continuously depletes stamina, and once it’s fully exhausted, you become vulnerable to enemy strikes. There are a variety of weapons and combat styles to choose from, allowing for diverse strategies when facing enemies. The food system is also unique, providing buffs to aid in your survival without punishing you for not consuming food.
Base-building is a core element of Valheim, allowing you to start from a simple shack and progress to constructing a massive fortress. To build sturdy structures capable of withstanding enemy raids, you'll need to journey across the lands of Valheim to gather various materials. You can choose to play solo or team up with up to 10 players to assist with resource gathering, building, and combat. Keep in mind that the difficulty of enemies will scale based on the number of players in your group.
Valheim is available for purchase at $19.99 USD on Steam and the Xbox digital storefront. Conquer the Tenth World and defeat The Forsaken, either solo or with companions, in Valheim!
