Vampire Survivors Ode To Castlevania DLC Coming To All Platforms On October 31st!
Not just a DLC, but a celebration of a historical and highly popular game series!
Return To The World Of Castlevania
The Game Has Come Full Circle!
Poncle is paying tribute to its roots by bringing the world of Castlevania to Vampire Survivors on October 31st. The devs remarked on the significant influence of the game series on Vampire Survivors. It “would have been a very different game hadn’t it been influenced by Castlevania in the first place, so this is straight up the definition of a dream coming true.” This time, there is no omission. The devs will bring “everything and everyone” from the series. They wouldn’t reveal the exact numbers, but here are the content highlights for this DLC:
⚫︎ 20+ new characters
⚫︎ 40+ weapons, including base versions and their evolutions
⚫︎ 1 large stage featuring different biomes
⚫︎ 30+ music covers
Though there are tons of characters to choose from, the devs made it a point for players to select weapons for their beloved characters, making them versatile against enemy forces. The game’s Adventure Mode, where you can complete challenges depending on your character, is not available in this DLC. However, there is a sliver of hope as the devs stated, “we might add one in the future if we get the chance.
Patch 1.12 will also be released, bringing QoL improvements to players. This will make UI navigation and battling supernatural forces much easier. Here are the highlights for this patch:
⚫︎ Advanced Music Selection – revamped the music selector UI
⚫︎ Mega Seal – you can seal content packs, including base games, from the Collection menu
⚫︎ Zoom – allows you to zoom in and out on the pause-menu map
⚫︎ Arcana effect reminder – you will see which Arcanas are active on the pause-menu map
⚫︎ Memory usage improvements – improves performance, especially on mobile and Nintendo Switch
Also, take note that the DLC will have no achievements, and the music covers will not be available as a paid soundtrack on Steam. If you’re wondering whether there will be a vampire in this DLC, the devs’ FAQ writer mentioned, “No idea. Dev team wouldn’t tell me. Maybe? Possibly? There’s a chance, I guess?”

Defeating Waves of Supernatural Enemies
Gothic horror RPG Vampire Survivors takes you to a world full of death and despair. Set in rural Italy in 2021, Bisconte Draculo has summoned a horde of deadly beasts and supernatural creatures intent on eradicating mankind. It’s up to you and the other survivors to stop this menace once and for all by defeating Draculo.
In this game, you will select a character with a particular weapon and bonuses as you fight wave after wave of enemies on an auto-generated map. Spam skills and otherworldly abilities to demonstrate your power and dominate the battlefield. You can also summon three of your friends to assist you in battle via the game’s four-player local co-op. Your mission is to survive as long as you can, gather gold to get PowerUps, unlock new characters, and buy helpful items from the Merchant.
The base game is 25% off on Steam for $3.74 USD, with the sale ending on November 5. Meanwhile, it is 20% off on the PlayStation storefront for $3.99 until November 2. Though the Xbox storefront sells Vampire Survivors for $4.99, it is also included in Game Pass. However, you can get the game for free on Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store.
