Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr Devs Introduced The New Hierophant Class DLC

Providing players with a new gameplay approach

Carry The God-Emperor’s Will With Your Subordinates!

Introducing A New Squad-Based System

Inquisitors, get ready for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr’s latest DLC! The Hierophant Class DLC introduces a new class that offers a fresh gameplay experience for both long-time fans and new players. Here’s a brief background before we dive into the details: The Hierophant Inquisitor has an Imperial background as a Ministorum priest. After serving as an interrogator, he attracted the Inquisition’s interest and was assigned to carry out their sacred mission.

This new class brings a unique gameplay experience through the Inquisitorial Retinue, giving you four acolyte companions. Alongside your acolytes, the game introduces a squad management system that lets you customize your retinue to fit your preferences. However, you won’t gain access to all four acolytes right away; you must progress through the game to unlock them gradually. These companions can equip gear, have distinct skill trees and classes, all of which can be managed on the Command Bridge and during missions. Although they are AI-controlled, you can issue specific Orders to guide their actions. These Orders include:

⚫︎ Move to Position
⚫︎ Focused Charge
⚫︎ Defend
⚫︎ Taunt
⚫︎ Salvation
⚫︎ Sacrifice

Since Retinue members have in-game classes, playing as a Hierophant is ideal if you have a good understanding of how each class functions. Make sure to equip the right gears and skills of your companions to maximize their combat potential!
As a Hierophant, you can harness Blessings and spells to empower your Retinue members and deal damage to enemies. There are also 14 brand new perks to experiment with, ensuring each playthrough feels unique. This class also has access to a Belt Gear Curio, a unique item that activates passive auras when used. Like the other classes in the game, the Hierophant can choose from three subclasses: Confessor, Cardinal, and Drill Abbot, each offering different starting gear and skills that will shape how you and your retinue purge heretics.

In NeocoreGames' latest Steam announcement, the developers teased an exclusive interview and gameplay stream, “showing off everything the Hierophant will be able to do from Level 1 to Level 100.” The Hierophant Class DLC will be released on Steam on November 12, though the price has not yet been disclosed. If you're interested in the game or eager to learn more about this upcoming DLC, you can visit its Steam page. Fulfill your holy mission and deliver the heretics from evil with the Hierophant class!

Purge The Caligari Sector Of The Chaos Gods’ Influence

Take on heretics and uncover the hidden truths of the Inquisition in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr. Set in the distant future of the 41st Millennium, the God-Emperor sets his sight on the Caligari Sector, a vast region afflicted by Warp Storms, heretics, and the Chaos Gods. Here, you serve as one of the Emperor’s agents, enacting his will across this desolate region, eliminating heretics, and encountering strange anomalies during your missions.

Departing from the classic combat mechanics of the Warhammer series, this game adopts a style closer to Diablo, offering combat in a fixed isometric perspective. You’ll use firearms, spells, and skills to gain an edge over enemies, with a leveling system that gradually unlocks the skills needed for higher-level stages. Choose from five classes—Crusader, Assassin, Psyker, Tech-Adept, Adepta Sororitas, and the soon-to-be-released Hierophant. Each class has three subclasses, adding variety to combat approaches and enhancing the game’s replayability.

The game is available on Steam and the PlayStation digital storefront for $39.99 USD, while the Xbox storefront offers it at a slightly lower price of $29.99 USD. Extend the God-Emperor’s glory into the dark Caligari Sector in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr!
