Winter Burrow is now releasing its demo for the game later this month, on August 21st! First introduced during the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase earlier this year, Winter Burrow is a cozy survival game based in the snowy woodlands where you play as a cute little mouse returning home to the countryside from the city…only to find their childhood burrow desolate and empty. What makes matters worse is that your aunt, supposedly the lone resident, is also missing. Explore and gather resources to keep yourself warm and fed while also looking for clues on your aunt’s whereabouts, and also restore the burrow into a warm hamlet to call yours.

Play It Live At Gamescom

Simultaneously, as the demo goes live on the Steam page, the game and its demo will be showcased at Gamescom at the Indie Arena Booth and the Xbox booth. As noted on the announcement on their Steam community page: “On August 21st, our demo will go live on Steam for the first time. Simultaneously, we’ll be showcasing Winter Burrow at both the Indie Arena Booth and the Xbox booth at Gamescom—so it’s going to be a busy week. It’s also the first time we’ll get to meet some of you in person!”

Besides getting to meet the wonderful people of Pine Creek Games, they also said in an earlier X (Twitter) post dated July 19th that there will be cute merch available in the Indie Arena Booth as well.

Not only that, but the game will also be featured in the upcoming Wholesome Games Steam celebration this August 15th to 21st. While the game demo won’t be out until the last day, eager players can hope for more news and announcements to come from Pine Creek Games during this celebration!
