WorldBox - God Simulator Dev Teased New Clan Features As Part Of An Upcoming Major Update!

Ramping up your omnipotent powers

Control The Bloodlines And Traits

Why Stop At Letting These Clans Decide By Themselves?

Lone developer Maxim Karpenko teased the latest feature for the upcoming major update for WorldBox - God Simulator. In this announcement, the devs teased that clans will have more significance in the game. For instance, clans will have a new and updated UI with moving animation, unique banners, and important clan-related information. This way, you can monitor what clan to bless or curse with your powers.

A clan trait editor will also be available where you can change the traits of a clan and its members. As shown in the teaser, you can change the attributes of a clan, namely Body, Chaos, Miscellaneous, and Special. You can make distinct and powerful or weak clans depending on the traits you assign them.
The dev also revamped the succession system by “replacing the old only-primogeniture system where the eldest child automatically became the next ruler.” Royal clans, or clans with the ability to create a kingdom and govern other non-royal clans, will have cultural traits that affect their succession when the ruler dies. For instance, you can set it to Matriarchy, where female royal clan members get priority when choosing the next ruler.

The last part of this update is a cliffhanger. “Clans will also be closely tied to another upcoming, yet-to-be-revealed mechanic.” Since this mechanic is not part of the current game’s system, you can expect more exciting news for this upcoming major update.

Previously Released Teaser Announcements

The Royal Clans update is only one part of the current four announcements for WorldBox - God Simulator’s update. Last August, Karpenko also teased the cultures and subspecies update, where you can change the traits of a specific culture and even create subspecies via the gene editor.

The Families and Genealogy update from Dec 26, 2023, is about tracking an individual and learning about their family history. New graphs were made to check a person’s ancestry, living family members, and interesting units. Say you eradicated a clan out of existence; you can then check the Interesting Unit tab, and you might find out there is a lone survivor of your whimsical activity as a god.
The biomes update released on Dec 5, 2023, also brings a new approach to willing people and creatures into existence in a specific biome. Here, the creature you created will be assigned to a subspecies, and there is an increased chance that it will adopt a trait related to its biome. In this way, you can further direct the survival and evolution of a particular creature by having it live in a specific biome.

The latest teaser for the game’s upcoming major update proves that there are significant changes and new features to make your fantasy world more interesting and immersive. Instead of outright nuking an entire civilization, why not guide it to prosperity while eliminating all its rivals? Or you can just let nature take its course and take a more idle approach with WorldBox - God Simulator!

The Fate Of The World At Your Fingertips

Sandbox simulation game WorldBox - God Simulator allows you to experience what it feels like to be a god. Here, you can create a whole world, its environment, and its inhabitants. It doesn’t stop there because you are a god who wields all the power to create or destroy anything at will.

In this game, you can raise or eradicate four fantasy races such as humans, orcs, elves, and dwarves. Each of them has a unique design and traits that can significantly alter their environment or their interactions with other races. With enough population, they can form groups and establish a kingdom of their own. You can watch them grow, assist them a little, or destroy undesirable civilizations in multiple ways. For instance, you can cause acid rain to melt down civilizations or summon a giant Crab to nuke them out of existence.

The game is available on Steam for $19.99 USD. It is free on Android and iOS, but you can also purchase the premium version for $7.99 USD with all the features from its PC counterpart. There are some notable aspects between the PC and mobile versions aside from their price points. The PC version can handle larger maps, provide access to Steam Workshop, and provide better performance. Be a god and occasionally give in to your intrusive thoughts in WorldBox - God Simulator!
